Planning Ahead: Accessories

Today is August 1st. I'm trying to plan my Halloween costume, what to wear for Thanksgiving dinner at my dear aunt's, and at least one Christmas outfit...I've been told this is abnormal. Particularly since I might be moving during any/all of that. I do not care!

I have several ideas for Halloween, and all of the serious ones are characters from TV/Movies: Doctor Girlfriend-- not Dr. Mrs. The Monarch as I would trip over my own wings; Joan Holloway, Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline. Right now, I'm leaning heaviest towards Dr. Girlfriend, even though I couldn't achieve that voice if I started smoking three packs a day right now. I don't think most guys I know could. Joanie's not really a costume. I can't find the right boots for Coraline.

Thanksgiving, I want some kind of bird theme. I was thinking turkey, but now I'm thinking peacock could work too: I'm thinking earrings and matching hair clip or these totally different earrings and bracelet. I'm looking at Mod Cloth because they advertise in Bust and on all the web-comics I read and they are seriously vying for my hard-earned dollars. I'm not about to start wearing rompers and leggings and this dress, but some cute earrings and other accessories could dress up whatever Old Navy outfit I end up wearing. I'll probably go for a plain sweater or something, so some feathery earrings will be perfection. I'm thinking that these earrings might be even more appropriate for the season.

Christmas, I'm thinking of wearing gold while also wearing Zum's frankincense and myrrh scents. I amuse the hell out of myself. I got some fantastic gold earrings for my birthday-- hearts with a filigree around them that's so intricate it frightens me-- and I have a couple of other gold pieces of jewelry I could wear with it. Gold nail polish could work for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Plenty of time left to decide and in which to change my mind.
