Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving, we're going to my partner's family to pay homage to the matriarch with casserole dishes, as good Midwesterners do. I've put myself on the hook for side dishes.

Dishes I'm planning on bringing
Oatmeal cookies (partner's family's recipe that I'm not to give out)
Cranberry sauce (Ginger)
Cranberry sauce (regular)
Green bean casserole

Outfit:
I've decided my theme colors shall be grey and pink, so I shall wear my fantastic Bearclaw boots-- that look almost identical to the more expensive Uggs as well as the less expensive Old Navy version-- with some skinny jeans and a grey sweater. I own several grey sweaters. Earrings will probably be the baby bird earrings I got from Uncommon Goods. Because themes are important, and just because I can't cook a bird doesn't mean it's not important.

Now, this is all for Thanksgiving proper. This weekend, I'm having an early Thanksgiving with my mother the strolling violinist, as she's working on Thanksgiving day. This day shall also have cranberry sauce of the above recipes, but probably not casseroles. I believe she's making lasagna. I know I'm bringing her cookies as well. My theme for this day shall be pink and grey still. I'm going to maliciously wear a sweater set and pearls at her; it really throws her off.
